JW Newman will take over as chief executive officer for St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center Aug. 12, according to a news release. He replaces Jeremy Barclay, who served as CEO since 2017.

Overview

Newman was previously the chief operating officer at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville and, before that, was the COO of Medical City Fort Worth.

At TriStar, Newman oversaw daily operations and business development, including a $125 million project to help grow the hospital. He has a master's degree in healthcare administration and has also overseen service lines such as surgical, imaging, laboratory, rehab and wound care.

Barclay has taken over as CEO for St. David's North Austin Medical Center, according to the hospital.
