Harbor Health, a system of primary care clinics co-founded by Dr. Clay Johnston, former dean of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas, announced plans to expand in the Austin area June 21. Harbor Health prioritizes preventive care with longer visits as well as access to a high-quality path of care through collaborative co-creation with patients.
Two clinics opened in the La Frontera area of Round Rock and in Central Austin in September with additional clinic locations planned for the following areas:
- Round Rock-Oakwood
- Round Rock-Round Rock Express
- Austin-Park Bend
- Austin-North University
- Austin-East Austin
- Austin-Westlake
- Buda
- Kyle
With this expansion, Harbor Health will also provide services via two mobile clinics known as the Bluebonnet Mobile and the Armadillo Mobile that will serve Hays, Travis and Williamson counties.
Five locations in are planned to open in Round Rock, Westlake, Northwest Austin and Southeast Austin this fall, although addresses and opening dates have not yet been identified, a representative said. These clinics will offer Express Care as well as after-hours and weekend care.
