The event will encompass 75 booths and over 100 young entrepreneurs, ages 4-17, showcasing their businesses to the public.
What you need to know
The free event will feature small businesses owners selling a variety of goods ranging from custom apparel, handmade jewelry, original art and desserts.
Patrons can shop from vendors 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the CHASCO Family YMCA’s Boles Sports Complex West, located at 1500 N. Mays St. There will also be a free shuttle service from the First United Methodist Church on Mays Street.
During the event, there will be a competition within each age category. Judges will determine winners for the most original idea, best presentation and highest business potential. There will also be a people's choice award determined by shoppers.
Each of the the prize category winners will receive a certificate of achievement and a $50 cash prize.
The framework
Sponsored by local businesses, such as School of Rock Round Rock, KangaRoof and Hot Dog Marketing, the event is geared to support the next generation of local entrepreneurs, according to a news release.
The host—The Fire Foundation—is an education-focused nonprofit organization in Round Rock.
