Williamson County has several ongoing transportation projects in Georgetown, including extending CR 110 north to connect with Patriot Way, with more in the planning phase.

Upcoming projects
RM 2243 (Hero Way) widening Phase 2A
Project: The next phase of the project will widen the road from 183A to Ronald Reagan Boulevard.
Update: The project is in the design phase, with final revised schematic anticipated to be completed by summer 2028.

CR 175 reconstruction
Project: Roadwork will reconstruct and widen CR 175 from south of Creek Meadow Cove to RM 2243.
Update: Preliminary (30%) design was completed in fall 2025. Final design is expected in 2027.

Ongoing projects
RM 2243 (Hero Way) widening Phase 1A
Project: About 3.5 miles of RM 2243 between 183A and Garey Park in Georgetown will be reconstructed, realigned and widened.
Update: Construction began in January, and Chasco contractors continue work on the road.

Ramps at Hwy. 195 and Ronald Reagan
Project: This project will construct a series of entrance and exit ramps at the intersection of Hwy. 195 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard.
Update: The first northbound exit ramp opened Aug. 24. The engineer for the remaining three ramps completed schematic designs in March.

- Cost: $3.6 million
- Funding sources: Williamson County 2019 and 2023 road bonds
CR 110 North extension
Project: This construction aims to extend CR 110 north from CR 111, which is also called Rockride Lane in Georgetown, to connect with Patriot Way at Sam Houston Avenue.
Update: Construction on the roadway extension began in early 2026 and is ongoing.

Ronald Reagan Boulevard widening Segment B
Project: This project includes building a two-lane southbound roadway from Hwy. 29 to FM 3405, and transitioning the existing road to become northbound only.
Update: Chasco Constructors began work on the project in 2024 and anticipates completion in late 2027.

Completed projects
CR 255 reconstruction
Project: A new two-lane roadway was constructed alongside the existing road from CR 254 to CR 289.
Update: The road opened for drivers Aug. 24. The county is working to rename the new portion of road.
