Upcoming projects
Old Fitzhugh Road improvements
Project: The city of Dripping Springs is aiming to beautify Old Fitzhugh Road while improving traffic flow, pedestrian access and connectivity. The Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Board approved the project as a priority in spring 2017.
Update: The project was originally scheduled to break ground in August, but the city is waiting on further approval from TxDOT. People and Communications Director Lisa Sullivan said that the project will take 18 months to two years to complete.

I-35 Capital Express South Project
Project: TxDOT will add two high-occupancy-vehicle lanes, a southbound bypass lane and pedestrian and bicycle paths.
Update: The Stassney Lane bridge at I-35 was closed for several nights in September while crews worked on elevated managed lanes.
Completed projects
Oak Hill Parkway
Project: TxDOT began reconstructing the 7-mile stretch of highway in 2021. Construction crews transformed the four-lane, undivided roadway into a six-lane divided highway with new frontage roads and 14 miles of shared-use paths, according to TxDOT documents.
Update: The TxDOT team has reached substantial completion of the project. A TxDOT spokesperson said crews will continue working on pending tasks, such as landscaping, through the end of the year.
