Recycle the Christmas tree
The city of Round Rock is providing an opportunity to recycle Christmas trees and lights in a special event Dec. 31. Trees may also be recycled at the Round Rock Recycling Center during regular business hours. Trees will be recycled into mulch that will be available for pickup at no charge to residents, or $5 per cubic yard for contractors and nonresidents. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Free. Ring in the new year with a glow
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions will host a New Year's Eve feast and glow party to commemorate the closing of 2022. Prime rib and oysters will be served, along with hot and cold enhancements. Monster Mini Golf will host a countdown event open to all ages. The 18-hole monster-themed black light mini-golf course will count down to the new year every hour, on the hour.
