Q&A: Hear from the constable candidates for Williamson County, Precinct 1

Why are you the best candidate for this seat?

I am a Master Peace Officer and have served the citizens of Williamson County as a first responder since 1987. I have a personal and professional relationship with the citizens in Precinct 1, other law enforcement agencies, other emergency services and Round Rock ISD.

If elected, what are your goals for Williamson County?

My goal as your constable is to build a proactive professional law enforcement agency serving the needs of the citizens of Precinct 1. We will support the JP Court, other agencies and be heavily involved in the community building relationships.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve noticed within the county and how would you work to address them?

Growth is the number one issue affecting Williamson County. My office will ensure this growth does not impact the level of professionalism and service. My deputies will serve with distinction and without prejudice with every member of the community they interact with.

How will you prioritize the citizens of Williamson County, if elected?

I will proudly serve the citizens of Williamson County. My office will serve with respect and integrity. The same high standard and level of service will be offered to every citizen. Responses to requests for information and assistance will be addressed in a timely and professional manner.

What values helped shape your campaign for County Constable of Precinct 1?

My campaign values are in line with my personal values: professionalism, respect, integrity, dedication and excellence. I have always made the correct ethical decision and demanded those around me do the same. My family, my chosen profession and selfless service are of upmost importance to me.

Why are you the best candidate for this seat?

I have over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, I am a Master Peace Officer and have spent the last three and a half years as the elected Constable for Pct. 1 and successfully led the office during a time of expansive growth.

If elected, what are your goals for Williamson County?

If reelected, I will continue to serve the court systems of Williamson County and ensure all my staff has the necessary training and resources and work with my constituents and citizens of Precinct 1 to address issues that impact our county.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve noticed within the county and how would you work to address them?

Because of the 2022 redistricting of the county precincts, Precinct 1 is now the busiest Constable’s Office. We handle more civil processes than any of the other precincts, and we have accomplished this without a significant staffing increase through process improvements and strong leadership.

How will you prioritize the citizens of Williamson County, if elected?

If reelected, I will continue to work with the community to address issues that impact the citizens of Williamson County, I will continue to be a good steward of the county's funds and resources, and run the most efficient office possible.
