Bowman Park in Round Rock received a new playground April 23 as part of its community development program.
The details
The new equipment includes two play structures, swings and shade shells to replace the previous playground. Bowman Park, located at 950 E. Bowman Road, last received new equipment in 2009, according to a city news release.
Federal Community Development Block Grants funded the playground project, and amounted to $155,623. This upgrade is apart of the larger park renovations, which include the Bowman Park trail expansion and improvements to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
