From new human and pet health care options to hair loss solutions, here are three new businesses with plans to open in Round Rock.

Thrive Pet Healthcare

A new Thrive Pet Healthcare location is under construction at 3639 Gattis School Road, Round Rock, with construction completion expected in the next six months. Michael Noteboom, vice president of commercial real estate brokerage Resolut RE Austin, said the space currently under construction was leased entirely by Thrive Pet Healthcare. Thrive Pet Healthcare offers primary, emergency, urgent and specialty care, boarding and grooming, as well as surgery for dogs and cats. www.thrivepetcare.com

Harbor Health

Harbor Health, a system of primary care clinics co-founded by Dr. Clay Johnston, former dean of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas, announced plans to expand in the Austin area June 21. Harbor Health prioritizes preventive care with longer visits as well as access to a high-quality path of care through collaborative co-creation with patients. Two clinics opened in the La Frontera area of Round Rock and in Central Austin in September with additional clinic locations planned across central Texas. Two more clinics are planned for Round Rock, but exact locations have not yet been set, a representative of Harbor Health said. 855-481-8375. www.harborhealth.com

HairWeavon

The first U.S. location of Dublin, Ireland-based wig and topper shop HairWeavon will open in Round Rock by the end of August, bringing a variety of solutions to hair loss with it. Owned by Ariel Rawlings, the shop will be located at 2711 La Frontera Blvd., Ste. 110, Room 406, Round Rock, inside My Salon Suites.

Rawlings said she connected with the creator of HairWeavon, Yinka Martin, who created the business in 2011 to assist men and women facing hair loss. Rawlings said she herself has lost her hair due to alopecia and is looking forward to helping Round Rock-area clients.

"From something that started as two women from two different countries connecting on Instagram, I am looking forward to opening the first HairWeavon in the United States and connecting with the hair loss community in Central Texas," Rawlings said. "I will be providing them with the support and resources I wish I had when I lost my hair three years ago."

Once her business opens, Rawlings will offer private consultations with clients to choose their preferred wig or hair topper style.
