The Texas Department of Transportation will kick off its RM 620 roundabout project March 11 with a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m., TxDOT confirmed in a March 9 news release. The ceremony will be held at 901 Round Rock Ave., Round Rock, adjacent to the intersection of RM 620 and Chisholm Trail.

The RM 620 roundabout project's scope runs from I-35 to Deep Wood Drive and will add overpasses at both Chisholm Trail and Lake Creek Drive, per the release. Additional features include a roundabout at RM 620 and Chisholm Trail underneath the overpass; widened lanes; new frontage roads; as well as upgraded accommodations for bicycle and pedestrian traffic. The project's design, per the release, is to enhance mobility and safety within the designated project area.
