Pflugerville's Summer Pfun Camp 2020 canceled due to coronavirus concerns

Pflugerville's annual Summer Pfun Camp has been canceled for summer 2020, the city announced in a May 27 news release. Per the release, the camp has been canceled "due to concerns about the health of our campers and staff."

In a May 28 video posted to the Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department's Facebook page, Recreation Program Coordinator Daulton Mobley said the decision was not an easy one for staff to make. The video included messages of support and well wishes from camp instructors to campers.


"With summer camp 2020 canceled, summer camp 2021 will be the best one yet," Mobley said. "Have a great and safe summer."

City staff are working to coordinate fall and winter camps and encourage parents and participants to stay tuned for future announcements, per the release. Questions about Pflugerville's camps can be emailed to Mobley at daultonm@pflugervilletx.gov.
