Texas Spanish Academy, a Spanish immersion pre-K and child care facility, reopened May 1 following a temporary closure due to the coronavirus, Executive Director Edina Morrison confirmed in a May 22 email.

Located at 2471 S. A.W. Grimes Blvd., Bldg. 200, Round Rock, the center offers full- and part-time programs for children ages six weeks through pre-K. The center is currently enrolling for summer and fall 2020, Morrison said.

Texas Spanish Academy has added several safety provisions as a result of the pandemic and will keep students with a fixed set of teachers throughout the day, Morrison said. All staff and students receive a health screening upon arrival and wash their hands upon entering the school and throughout the day. Parents and staff wear face coverings during pickups and drop-offs, and children are signed in via a no-contact electronic system. Four-step sanitation processes will be performed throughout the day, with deep cleanings in the evening.
