Round Rock ISD's board of trustees approved an alteration to the district's 2020-21 academic calendar to extend high school early release days to full instructional days, per an Oct. 23 RRISD news release. The amendment is attributed as a means of meeting state requirements for in-person instructional minutes relative to COVID-19, per the release.

The altered schedule impacts two sets of previously designated early release days: Dec. 14-17 and May 24-27, per the release. The district will now require high school students participate in full instructional days Dec. 14-17 and May 24-27.

RRISD traditionally plans for four early release days at the end of each semester for its high school students, according to the release. To view RRISD's 2020-21 academic calendar, click here.
