A fourth seat on the Round Rock ISD board of trustees will be up for grabs in November.

Trustee Steve Math announced July 13 that he will resign effective Nov. 2. He did not publicly share a reason for his resignation.

Math was appointed to the board in November 2017, filling a seat initially left vacant by Paul Tisch in May of that year and then by Stuart Selvaggi in August. Math was then elected in 2018 by voters in the district for a term that would have expired in 2022.

Prior to serving on the board of trustees, Math held a position on the 2016 Citizens Bond Committee.

The RRISD board of trustees is composed of seven members. Trustees are elected at large to serve staggered, four-year terms.

In addition to Math’s soon-to-be vacant seat, three places are up for re-election in November: Place 1, which is currently held by trustee Nikki Gonzales; Place 2, which is currently held by trustee Chad Chadwell; and Place 7, which is currently held by trustee Mason Moses.
