Travis County Emergency Services District No. 2's Fire Station No. 5, located at 1541 W. Pflugerville Loop, will be the fifth fire station in Pflugerville. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in September 2018. The site was chosen to serve in an “area of need,” according to a September 2018 Travis County ESD 2 news release.

Features include three housing bays for emergency vehicles, sleeping quarters for 10 firefighters, training space, an ambulance and an aerial device to assist in fighting fires.
