The city of Pflugerville announced a new round of parks and recreation facility reopenings scheduled for Sept. 18 and 25.

All playground facilities, park restrooms and water fountains will reopen to the public Sept. 18, while pavilions and rental sites will remain closed due to public gathering restrictions. Visitors are asked to uphold mask wearing and social distancing provisions while using the facilities.

The Pflugerville Recreation Center will reopen its lobby, fitness room, changing facilities and indoor walking track Sept. 25, per a city news release. Additional amenities—including the senior activity room, games and meeting areas, multipurpose room and gym—will remain closed.

The following modifications have been made to the Pflugerville Recreation Center.

  • Reduced capacity in fitness room and at indoor walking track; reservations recommended to ensure availability

  • Facility hours: Mon.-Sat. 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Sun. 1-6 p.m.

  • All access rerouted to no-contact sliding doors at back of facility, with front entrance remaining closed
