Data released by the U.S. Census Bureau on Dec. 19 indicates growth continues in Round Rock—with year over year increases in median household income, median home value, overall population and more. The 2018 American Community Survey “helps local officials, community leaders, and businesses understand the changes taking place in their communities,” according to the U.S. bureau.
From 2014 to 2018, the bureau estimates Round Rock’s population increased over 12%, adding more than 14,000 people.
Home values are also on the rise. Between 2017 and 2018, the median home in Round Rock increased in value by just over 9%, according to the ACS data.
The median household income increased nearly 6% between 2017 and 2018, up some $4,000 on average.
As of the 2018 data, 92.8% of Round Rock residents hold a high school diploma, and 40.7% have a bachelor’s degree or higher. The median age of a Round Rock resident is 33.9 years.
