Hutto City Council voted unanimously for 2 miles of road reconstruction in parts of Old Town, CR 132 and the Carl Stern area.
The detailsThe $732,434 contract with
Bennett Paving will reconstruct some city alleys and the following roads:
- Carl Stern Drive
- CR 132
- Taylor Street
- West Street
- Anthony Street
- Pecan Street
Due to poor pavement conditions, the roads will receive a 2-inch asphalt overlay for preservation and rebuilding. Other spot repairs will also occur during the project, as well as striping Carl Stern Drive.
This work is scheduled to wrap up by the end of September.

five-year street maintenance plan.
