A new traffic signal was installed on the southeast corner of SH 130 and E. Pflugerville Parkway next to the new H-E-B grocery store under construction in Pflugerville.

The signal, on the Pflugerville Parkway and Colorado Sand Drive intersection, was originally planned to be activated the week of Sept. 30, but will now be activated the week of Oct. 14.

What residents need to know

The new light will flash yellow for eastbound and westbound traffic on Pflugerville Parkway, and red for cars going northbound or southbound on Colorado Sand Drive. The signal will flash for about a month before becoming fully operational in mid-November, according to the city.

Traffic going south on Colorado Sand must still stop at the stop sign, and traffic going north is blocked off from the public at this time, the city announced on its Facebook page.

What else?

The new H-E-B, across from the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, is slated to have its grand opening in November. The store will be the third Pflugerville location.
