Design work could soon resume on a postponed set of improvements to Live Oak Street in Hutto.

The city previously awarded a design contract for the project in 2019. At that time, the scope of the project included water line work, sidewalks and pavement repair.

However, the city placed the project on hold after completing a portion of the water line work.

At its April 20 meeting, Hutto City Council will consider a new $384,397 design contract with Hejl, Lee & Associates for the project.

If approved, the revised design would incorporate landscaping and underground electricity infrastructure in addition to the project's original scope.

According to city materials, the design is expected to be fully complete in March 2024 if the contract is approved.
