Pflugerville officials approved the creation of a no-parking zone on a portion of 10th Street north of the intersection with Wells Branch Parkway.

City Council approved the ordinance on the first of two readings at a Jan. 11 meeting.

According to city materials, city staff performed an analysis of the intersection and found that vehicles parked on the designated section of 10th Street reduce sight distance and create a hazard for drivers.

Council will vote on the ordinance a second time at its next meeting Jan. 25.
