Phase II of a project to rehab several roads in the Heatherwilde area of northern Pflugerville has moved forward thanks to a $1.54 million allocation from city officials.

City Council on Sept. 14 awarded the contract to transportation construction company Terra Path to helm work on the Heatherwilde Roadway Reconstruction Project.

Terra Path bid $1.454 million to beat out a bid of $1.484 million from Diamond X Contracting.

Roadways that will be part of the pavement maintenance program include Acanthus, Black Willow and Blue Willow streets, as well as Gazania, Hughmont, Laurelleaf and Wild Orchard drives.

The city will host a preconstruction meeting with Terra Path on Sept. 29, and mobilization and construction is expected to begin in early October.

City staff said the project should last about 105 days.
