Several of Pflugerville's trails will soon undergo a series of improvements and extensions.

At a May 24 meeting, Pflugerville City Council approved a $480,289.50 agreement with Dig Dug Construction LLC for the trail improvement project.

The project will involve constructing approximately 31,700 square feet of new concrete trails to improve connectivity within the city's trail system.

Construction will focus on filling in gaps and replacing some sections of several of the city's existing trails, including Heritage Loop Trail and Settlers Valley Trail.

The trail improvement project is one of several parks bond projects voters approved in 2020.

A city presentation indicates construction on the project is expected to begin in June and last until December.
