Spare Time Texas, located at 1724 FM 685, Pflugerville, will incorporate an axe throwing station into its lineup of indoor entertainment. Bryan Rose, marketing manager for Spare Time Texas, said six axe throwing cages will be installed on the second floor of the venue and should be ready by or before early summer, though there is not yet a definite opening date.

Rose said in addition to axe throwing, the new facility will offer throwable steel playing cards and ninja stars.

"Those are a little bit easier and don't take as much skill, so people can still have a good time," Rose said.

Once open, the axe throwing cages will initially only be available through reservation, Rose said, adding Spare Time will have trainers teaching people how to safely throw the objects.
