Holiday ran unopposed for her place on City Council in November's general election, and is now currently serving her second term. She was the first Black woman elected to serve on the Pflugerville City Council.
In addition to her council position, Holiday works as a social psychologist. She is a peer support specialist with Caritas of Austin, advocating for unhoused youth.
What they’re saying
Weiss passed the baton to Holiday at the meeting.
“I think it’s important that the mayor pro tem is someone who is focused on Pflugerville, who is focused on growth [and] who is focused on making a difference in the community,” he said.
