Hutto City Council will consider an amended fee schedule for its franchise agreement with private EMS provider Acadian Ambulance Services at a Dec. 1 meeting.

Under the franchise agreement, which council voted to renew in November, Acadian provides nonemergency ambulance services within the city.

The new fee schedule would go into effect beginning in 2023 and would raise rates for most services.

For example, the new schedule would raise the base rate for a nonemergency trip with basic life support from $868 to $977. The base rate for a nonemergency trip with advanced life support would go up from $1,283 to $1,443.

It would also increase the mileage rate from $26.49 per mile to $29.80.

Acadian originally began providing ambulance services in Hutto in 2015, and its franchise agreement has been renewed several times since then.

The agreement is nonexclusive, meaning it allows for other ambulance providers to operate within the city as well.
