Hutto Chamber of Commerce to hold May election candidate forums

The Hutto Chamber of Commerce will host three virtual candidate forums for the Hutto ISD board of trustees and City Council Places 2 and 5 ahead of the May 1 election.

The forum for candidates for City Council Place 2 is scheduled for April 12 at 2 p.m. The candidates for Place 2 are Rick Hudson, Jimmy Pierce and incumbent Dan Thornton.


The forum for candidates for the Hutto ISD board of trustees is scheduled for April 13 at 2 p.m. Current trustees Phillip Boutwell and Edgar Padilla are not seeking re-election following the expiration of their current terms in May. The candidates for the board are Mina Davis, Amy English and James Matlock.

The forum for candidates for City Council Place 5 is scheduled for April 14 at 3 p.m. The candidates for Place 5 are Christina Bastos, Nicole Calderone, Krystal Kinsey and Zack Miller.
