The city of Pflugerville will host its 5th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, inviting participants of all ages to build a boat and paddles using only cardboard and duct tape. On the day of the event, participants will board their boats and race to the finish line at Gilleland Creek Pool. Boats must be built in advance of the race and participants are encouraged to register online.

Power Brewing Project will host a workshop to teach guests how to make their own dumplings. Each guest will receive pre-made filling and wrappers, learn the traditional dumpling folding method and be able to take home 8-12 dumplings.

The city of Round Rock will host its annual Round Rock Arts Fest in the downtown area, featuring visual and performing artists. With nearly 100 artist vendors, the event will include interactive art experiences, performances, food trucks and more. Bluebonnet Beer Co. will also host an Oktoberfest at the festival.

Backpack Friends, a nonprofit organization benefitting Pflugerville ISD, Round Rock ISD and other districts, will host a hunger walk to raise money for food for at-risk children. The event will take place at Pfluger Park, which features a playground area, hike and bike trails, a basketball court and sand volleyball court. Every $5 raised will equal one weekend of food for a child in need.
