From live music to tree lightings, Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto have several events happening this weekend following the Thanksgiving holiday.

Support local businesses

During Hutto's annual Shop Small Saturday, participating business throughout the city will have holiday items and special discounts on offer. There will also be a pop-up market with local home-based vendors at One Eleven East in downtown Hutto. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Free (admission). Citywide. Kick off the holidays with a tree lighting

Hutto's yearly tree lighting festival will feature crafts, pictures with Santa and entertainment, including performances from the Farley Band and Hutto Choir. The evening will wrap up with the lighting of the downtown Hutto Christmas tree. 3-8 p.m. Free. East Street, Hutto. 512-759-4015.

Shop at a farmers market

The Farmer George Farmers Market in Round Rock features an array of local farmers and vendors who sell fresh produce and baked goods. The Round Rock market takes place every Saturday year-round. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free (admission). 201 University Oaks Blvd., Round Rock. 956-286-7775.

Catch some live music at Hanovers

Southern rock group American Gypsy Band will play a show at Hanovers Draught Haus in downtown Pflugerville. General admission is free, but reserved tables are available for a fee.
