Krystal Kinsey is the projected winner for Hutto City Council’s Place 5 seat.

Unofficial Election Day results in the June 5 Runoff Election for Hutto City Council Place 5 came in just after 9 p.m., showing Krystal Kinsey maintaining a lead over Nicole Calderone.

The unofficial voting information shows Calderone had 154 votes, while Kinsey had 246. Ballots cast for Calderone made up 38.50% of the vote, while those cast for Kinsey constituted 61.50%.

Calderone said she is proud of her achievements as a community advocate and that she wants the best for Hutto.


“Although I have demonstrated what leadership in the face of evil looks like, it wasn't enough to convince voters that I am the best candidate to serve them, which disappoints me, but at the same time helped me understand how we arrived in financial crisis,” Calderone said.

Kinsey did not respond to a request for comment in time for publication.

Election results are unofficial until they are canvassed.

Unofficial early voting totals in the June 5 Runoff Election for Hutto City Council Place 5 came in just after 7 p.m., showing Krystal Kinsey with a projected lead over Nicole Calderone.


The unofficial voting information from Williamson County, which the city of Hutto contracts with to conduct elections according to its elections website, shows that Calderone had 101 votes, while Kinsey had 145. Ballots cast for Calderone made up 41.06% of the vote, while those cast for Kinsey constituted 58.94%.
