Hutto ISD announced its selection of Eli Reinhart to lead the district's football program Feb. 4, just weeks after naming Will Compton to lead the district's athletic programs as a whole.

What you need to know

Reinhart spent the past three years at North Crowley High School in the Fort Worth area, serving as the district's offensive coordinator, according to a release from HISD.

What they're saying

“Coach Reinhart is a natural leader who embodies excellence in his preparation and discipline,” Hutto ISD Superintendent Jeni Neatherlin said in the release. “I am confident Coach Reinhart will continue his history of winning in Hutto by building champions on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. We’re excited to welcome him to Hippo Nation.”

Remember this?

In January, Compton took over leadership of the district's athletics department, following the departure of Brad LaPlante, who is leaving the district to lead the athletic department of Montgomery ISD.

Prior to his hiring as director, Compton served as the district's head football coach and boys athletic coordinator.
