Texas State Technical College’s East Williamson County campus is expanding its offerings in Hutto with a new Computer Networking and Systems Administration program.

About the program

The program includes training for CNS fields ranging from entry-level tech support to network engineering and operations system analysis. Students can choose to participate online, in-person or in a hybrid format.

Students have the option to pursue an associate of applied science degree in CNS, certificates of completion in two tiers of IT Support and an advanced technical certificate in cloud computing. Curriculum includes building a computer for a lab project in the first semester.

In their own words

“We have all of the parts the students need for all of the labs on campus, for free. It is up to them if they want to come in and use those resources with live instructors, or would rather buy the parts to do it at home and ask questions through chat,” Stuart McClennan, an instructor at TSTC said.
