Hutto ISD students and their families will have opportunities for reading engagement through the district's Parent and Family Engagement program, which will hold its second annual reading bus tour through the beginning of July.

What you need to know

The HISD reading bus will make stops throughout the community, bringing story time events and activities for local children and their families. Participating children will receive a free bookmark and sticker as well as a snack from the district's child nutrition department.

The reading bus tour began June 3 and will run through July 3 with stops on the following dates and times:
  • June 10-12, 9-11 a.m. at Great Western Pool, 111 Great Western Drive, Hutto
  • June 10-12, 1-3 p.m. at Emory Crossing Community Center, 418 Emory Crossing Blvd., Hutto
  • June 17-18, 9-11 a.m. at Glenwood Neighborhood Park, 107 McCoy Lane, Hutto
  • June 17-18, 1-3 p.m. at Creek Bend Neighborhood Park Pool, 1605 Bubbling Brook Drive, Hutto
  • June 24-26, 9-11 a.m. at Carmel Creek Neighborhood Park Pool, 312 Cyril Drive, Hutto
  • June 24-26, 1-3 p.m. at Cotton Brook Pool, 4040 Branson Blvd., Hutto
  • July 1-3, 9-11 a.m. at RiverWalk Pool, 314 RiverWalk Drive, Hutto
  • July 1 and 3, 1-3 p.m. at Siena North Pool, 5826 Carrara Pass, Round Rock
  • July 2, 1-3 p.m. at Siena South Pool, 5844 Othello Place, Round Rock
