The Hutto ISD board of trustees approved on Jan. 11 an order for a board election to be held May 4.

What's happening?

Two board seats, occupied by trustees James Matlock and Amy English, are up for re-election in May. Candidates elected to each seat will serve for three years. Those who win their seats in the regular election will serve a three-year term.

What's next?

The filing period for candidacy in the May 4 board election opens Jan. 17 and will close Feb. 16 at 5 p.m., and Feb. 20 is the deadline to file a declaration of write-in candidacy.
