Pflugerville ISD will open its doors to more than 25,000 students for the first day of the 2023-24 school year Aug. 15.
The district welcomed a new Pflugerville High School principal in July. Jon Bailey, who began his teaching career in PfISD at Park Crest Middle School in 2006, held assistant principal and principal roles in Manor and Austin ISDs, and then became KIPP Texas Public Schools' senior director of humanities.
Looking ahead
Check out some important dates for PfISD students.
- The first long weekend for students will be Sept. 2-5.
- Thanksgiving break is a full week Nov. 20-24.
- Winter break will start Dec. 22, and classes will resume Jan. 9.
- The last day of school is May 29.
