Hutto ISD has two new leadership positions following action by the district board of trustees.

At an April 27 meeting, trustees appointed Amber Kingsley and Kyle Ruggirello as the district's new director of fine arts and director of student affairs, respectively.

Kingsley and Ruggirello are the first to be appointed to their respective positions.

As director of fine arts, Kingsley, who previously served as the district's fine arts coordinator, will oversee the district's fine arts programs for kindergarten through 12th grade.

“[Kingsley] has done a phenomenal job, and with the growth in our district and the growing number of kids in fine arts, this is a role that we definitely need,” Superintendent Celina Estrada Thomas said.

Ruggirello—previously a principal at several HISD elementary schools—will help organize and oversee academic and student affairs in her new role.

“[This is] another role that is severely needed in our school district as we continue to grow,” Estrada Thomas said.
