Seats for Pflugerville ISD board President Renae Mitchell, Place 3; Vernagene Mott, Place 4; and Brian Allen, Place 5, will expire this May.

Because of this, the school board Jan. 20 ordered an election for May 7.

District documents state though the order is made, officials are waiting for information on final local early voting locations. The order can be completed once the locations are known, according to district information.

The filing period for the May 7 Pflugerville ISD election opened Jan. 19, and it will remain open to potential school board candidates through Feb. 18 at 5 p.m.

Applications to run for the PfISD school board are available on the district's website.

The last day to declare a write-in candidacy is Feb. 22 before 5 p.m.
