Superintendent Celina Estrada Thomas announced the change in an online release Jan. 9.
The change comes two days after a similar announcement Jan. 7 that the district would discontinue some bus routes. According to the Jan. 9 release, the district lost additional drivers over the weekend, necessitating further cancellations.
Special needs transportation will continue, as will shuttle buses during the day for Ninth Grade Center students, students who attend East Williamson County Higher Education Center programs and students affiliated with WORKS programs.
All other routes are on hold until further notice.
According to the release, campuses will make accommodations for late arrivals, including waiving tardies and providing breakfast after the usual time.
"We understand this will be a difficult adjustment for families who rely on bus service," Estrada Thomas said in the release.
