Bohls Middle School in Pflugerville ISD is almost 90% complete, according to district staff.

Brandon Cardwell, the district's executive director of facilities and construction, said during a Nov. 18 board meeting the plan is still set to move teachers into the campus the week of Dec. 6, but there is still not a definite date for when students will begin attending the school.

"That's a positive thing, but at the same time, anything can happen between now and Dec. 6 to slow us down," Superintendent Douglas Killian said.

At present, sixth graders who planned to attend Bohls during the 2021-22 school year are attending Carpenter Elementary School, and seventh and eighth graders are attending Cele Middle School.

Still underway at the campus is work on the kitchen, landscaping, the ceiling and flooring, the gym floor, concession stands of the football field, and the courtyard.

The Bohls campus had originally been scheduled to be ready for students in time for the start of the 2021-22 school year, but competing construction projects and contractor scheduling errors resulted in project delays.

Bohls Middle School, located at 5104 Pleasanton Parkway in Pflugerville, has a capacity of about 1,200 students.
