The gist

Amberlin Pflugerville, a new 195-unit active-adult community in Pflugerville, is tentatively expected to open Oct. 7, a representative of the development said June 6.

The backstory

Neighboring Hill Country Bible Church sold 10 acres of its 52-acre property to developer Sparrow Partners for the construction of Amberlin Pflugerville, according to an announcement from Sparrow Partners.

Originally slated to open fall 2022, Amberlin has faced several delays in opening, including supply chain issues and problems getting power supplied to the facility because of a February ice storm that affected tens of thousands of Central Texas homes and businesses, the representative said.

The specs

Located at the southeast corner of East Pflugerville Parkway and Wilke Ridge Lane, Amberlin Pflugerville will offer wellness-oriented living for residents age 55 and older with a focus on helping residents stay socially and physically active.

The development’s one- and two-bedroom units will range in size from 615-1,285 square feet.
