Two 5-acre plots of land on Rowe Loop are planned for use as single-family condominiums.

Pflugerville City Council approved single-family mixed-use zoning for both plots at a Jan. 25 meeting.

Applicant Matt Tiemann said the developments will consist of detached single-family condominiums that will sell for between $450,000 and $550,000.

Several residents of Rowe Loop spoke against the developments during public comment, expressing concern with the density of the proposed housing compared to the housing that already exists on Rowe as well as with the piecemeal nature of development in the area.

"As a community, we feel safe. We don't have to worry about too much traffic," one speaker said. "It's a little bit unsettling to see these places ... coming 5 acres at a time."

Council ultimately voted 6-1 to approve the requested zoning, allowing the project to move forward with Council Member David Rogers voting against the zoning.
