Pflugerville City Council approved a resolution Aug. 9 calling a general election that will take place Nov. 8.
Mayor Victor Gonzales and Mayor Pro Tem Doug Weiss' terms are set to expire in November, so their positions—mayor and city council place 1, respectively—will be on the ballot.
According to city materials, the window to file for a place on the ballot opened July 23 and will close at 5 p.m. on Aug. 22. More information on filing for candidacy is available on the city's website.
Early voting is scheduled to begin Oct. 24 and continue through Nov. 4. Election day is Nov. 8. Polling locations have yet to be finalized.
