A new Frost Bank is planned for Pflugerville, according to a company representative.

The branch will occupy an estimated 3,643 square feet that is currently a shell space awaiting completion, a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration shows. The Frost Financial Center project is planned to start in December of this year. Bill Day, senior vice president of Frost’s corporate communications, said the company expects the new location to open up sometime next year.

The newest location is a part of a broader expansion program to double Frost’s Austin-region locations, Day said. Other new branches include a South Austin, Bastrop and Georgetown center.
