Hotel developers will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new TownePlace Suites by Marriott at 11 a.m. Dec. 1 on a 4.3-acre parcel of land along Ed Schmidt Boulevard in Hutto, according to the Hutto Economic Development Corporation.

Original approval from the city dates back to 2020, with plans indicating a four-story, 89-room hotel spanning 51,684 square feet. The property development is tied to incentives from the city.

The hotel will have fully equipped kitchens and living areas, hotel developer Manish Amin said, as previously reported by Community Impact.
