Luxury motor coach company Vonlane announced Jan. 27 that it will begin offering non-stop daily service between the Arboretum in North Austin and the city of Plano, just outside North Dallas.

Service will begin Feb. 28 and see 38 departures weekly, per a news release.

The details

The coaches will feature 22 leather seats with workspace, complimentary Wi-Fi and an on-board attendant offering cabin service with snacks, meals and beverages.

Austin’s terminal will be located at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in the Arboretum. Plano’s terminal will be located at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel.


Departure times for both cities include:
  • Monday, Thursday and Friday at 6 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Saturday at 9 a.m. (Austin), 1 p.m. (Plano)

The cost

One-way trips taken in March and April will cost $109 as an introductory fare. The normal base one-way fare of $125 will begin in May. Tickets can be booked on the Vonlane website.

Something to note

Vonlane’s existing service and routes between Dallas and Downtown Austin will not change, per the news release.
