The intersections of East Rundberg Lane at I-35 and at Middle Fiskville Road received a series of safety updates designed to improve mobility and protect pedestrians.
The completed improvements, which totaled $598,000, include new reflective striping, accessible curb ramps, a pedestrian crossing island and the relocation of the Capital Metro bus stop.
The Austin Transportation Department began work on the project in summer 2021 and finished in February. The project was funded by Austin's 2016 mobility bond intersection safety and Vision Zero program.
