Heavy rainfall from severe thunderstorms May 8 has closed multiple low-water crossings across Northwest Austin due to flooding. Low-water crossings 1-7 are all currently closed along Spicewood Springs Road. Three low-water crossings are closed on Old Spicewood Springs Road just south of Spicewood Springs Road, as well. Several crossings just off MoPac are now also closed due to flooding. Low-water crossing 30 and low-water crossings 31-34, located off McNeil Drive and Waters Park Road, respectively, are closed. Multiple severe weather advisories remain in effect in Austin. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch until 7 p.m. tonight and a Flood Advisory until 3 p.m.
