Austin Regional Clinic has announced its far west location is now accepting double the amount of appointments previously offered.

In a nutshell

The clinic now has a second mammography machine and a new suite for 2D and 3D mammography screenings, according to an April announcement.

The suites have previously been open on weekdays and after hours on Thursday evenings but will be expanded to include evening and weekend appointments from 5-8:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

"We are very excited to now have two mammography machines, a new suite, expanded hours and more techs to be able to offer more and easier access to patients," an ARC radiology services manager stated in the announcement.

What else?

Three ARC clinics offer mammograms: ARC Far West, ARC South 1st and ARC Center Street in Kyle. All three clinics additionally offer osteoporosis/bone density screenings for early detection of low bone mass, with an option for a DEXA body composition scan.

Mammograms will be available at ARC’s Cedar Park location later this year.
