The Vietnamese American Community of Austin, Texas hosts two Lunar New Year events at the Agave Club on Dessau Road. On Feb. 2, VACAT hosts a celebration for guests over the age of 21 complete with games, dancing and refreshments. Grab a Lunar New Year-inspired burger special

Austin-based burger chain Hopdoddy serves a year of the pig-themed burger special Feb. 5-28. The burger is served with a Gochujang and Furikake pork patty on a sesame-soy bun and topped with with Togarahi Mayo, Moo Shu Slaw and a special sauce. Watch traditional Chinese dance and opera performances at the Asian American Resource Center

See a Peking Opera show, a fashion show and watch the Austin Moonflower Performing Arts Group perform traditional Chinese dances at The Asian American Resource Center’s Lunar New Year event. The Xiang Yun Temple, a Buddhist temple in Northwest Austin, hosts a vegetarian food fair in the temple's courtyard.
