AGE of Central Texas-Adult Day Care Center Austin serves older adults, adults with dementia and family caregivers throughout the Central Texas region through five programs. Materials sold at the Austin Creative Reuse Center are given a second life. Donations of art, craft and other useful materials are accepted anytime the center is opened. Drop-in volunteer sessions are held every Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed weekly to help weigh, sort and price merchandise at the center. ATXHAW is 100 percent volunteer-based. Clients can obtain material assistance through the Earn-While-You-Learn program. Many sponsors and volunteers help each year to make the Brown Santa drive successful. The goal is to provide assistance to families in need in the unincorporated areas of Travis County.
